Learn to Square Dance
New class starts THU 24-SEP-2009
We host one or two Mainstream & Plus dances
each month on a Saturday night from October to May. We alternate
Squares and Rounds (2+2).

The next FNS dance will be
a Tri-Club dance hosted by the Great Plain Squares
at the First Parish Church,
23 Dedham Ave, Needham,
and co-sponsored by
the Fairs 'n Squares, and the Square Riggers.
This alternating MS/PL Dance will be held
on Saturday, 08-AUG-2009
with Bob Butler calling
and Jo Yakimowski cueing.

Our dances are generally located in Ellison Hall, or Scott Hall.
These locations are adjacent to each other, just off of Edgell Road,
1/4 mile North of Route 9 in Framingham Centre.

We hold Square Dance Classes for beginners on most Thursday nights at 7:30 PM.

Beginner Square Dance Classes

The Fairs 'n Squares invites interested newcomers to join
our next season of square dances for new beginners on Thursdays
starting September 24, 2009. (7:30 to 9:00 PM). This will introduce you
to the Basic and Mainstream level of dancing.
Dancers ready PLUS Level dancing can stay for a Mainstream/Plus
Level workshop from 9 PM to 10 PM.

Enjoy a square dance demonstration by the Fairs 'n Squares.

The Fairs 'n Squares will be enjoying a weekend at East Hill Farms.
We invite all our square dance friends to join us there. This year's event
includes Halloween, and a Halloween costumes are encouraged (but optional).
Six delicious home style meals will be served.
Both Square and Round Dance workshops in addition to plenty of dances.
Plus, full use of all the Inn facilities (rec room, pool, ...).

Regional Events
The Fairs 'n Squares encourages all square and round dancers
to attend upcoming national and regional and area events:

FNS Scholarship Award
The FnS will provides a $1,000 per year for up to four years to
a worthy area student. Our current award student is Miss Tamara Khudaniri
who graduated Keefe Tech in May, 2006. She has been attending the Wentworth
Institute in Boston, majoring in computer technology.
In spring-2010, the Fairs 'n Squares will select a new student to receive
this honor. If you are interested in becoming a candidate for this
scholarship, contact your high school advisor for an application, or
write to the Fairs 'n Squares Scholarship Committee
at PO Box 177, Framingham, MA 01704-0177 and request an application.
All dancers are welcome to support this scholarship. The
Fairs 'n Squares accepts tax deductable donations to the scholarship
fund. To support the scholarship just send your donation check to the
Fairs 'n Squares Scholarship Fund, PO Box 177, Framingham, MA 01704-0177.

The Fairs 'n Squares expresses its gratitude to the many local
businesses that supported our scholarship fund by donating items or
services that we can raffle. Many items were provided in prior years such as
restaurant meals, tax preparation services, and weekend accommodations.
